Now, it wouldn’t HURT the baby if the baby chewed on it, but it’s not meant to be chewed on at all. Can the baby wear it in the bath or in the pool?
The necklace should NOT get wet. The water can be absorbed in the amber and lessen the effectiveness.

Are amber necklaces dangerous?

As far as the risks?
They’re serious. Strangulation, choking, injury to the mouth, and infection are all possible hazards of letting a baby wear an amber teething necklace. The FDA points out that choking can occur if the necklace or bracelet breaks and a bead enters the child’s throat or airway.
